The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput, and is meant to be the launchpad for Saif Ali Khan's daughter, Sara Ali Khan.

Abhishek Kapoor's upcoming film "Kedarnath" has been making noise for all the wrong reasons of late.

There are also reports that the director pressurized the studio in to not signing Sara Ali Khan for another flick. And even as they wash their dirty linen in public, Amrita, who is concerned about Sara's debut is reportedly very upset with Gattu for his brash behaviour. Other producers are reluctant to come on board, as Abhishek and Prernaa are reportedly in the midst of seeking legal recourse. Now, the fight between the makers of Kedarnath has put the girl's career in jeopardy, for no fault of hers. DNA quoted the source as saying, "When Gattu called Dingy (Amrita) to tell her about his decision to fly solo with Kedarnath and only getting a big studio on board for the release, Amrita completely lost her cool with him. A heated argument took place between the two". Prernaa wasn't keen that Kedarnath should release on December 21, as it would clash with SRK's Zero.

When asked about this, at the time, Abhishek dismissed all rumours and said that he and the producers were "on the same page".

"Despite investing a huge sum of funding into the project, Kedarnath was going way overbudget owing to Gattu's (Abhishek Kapoor's) constant unreasonable demands". He not only delayed the shoot of the film by six months but also majorly interfered with the firm's financial planning and overall business workings. The announcement did not go down well with the producers and criticized Abhishek for taking such a major decision without having an opinion.
