Maybe Thanos will use his Infinity Gauntlet to manipulate spacetime?

With little over three months to go until the launch of Avengers: Infinity War - undoubtedly the biggest film of their collective careers, not to mention the most historic superhero movie of modern times - the filmmaking duo have been fielding all sorts of questions about their Marvel epic, which will spill over into a fourth Avengers movie come 2019. Reports have tipped everyone from Liv Tyler's Betty Ross to the Red Skull to make surprise appearances, and while neither of those seems likely, they haven't been officially ruled out.

While appearing in the latest episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Russo brothers teased that the time travel rumors may be stretching a bit too far.

They pointed out a scene from Captain America: Civil War that saw Tony Stark introduce B.A.R.F. (Binarily Augmented Retro-Framing) to shape the future. Not only has Marvel been keeping Avengers 4's plot a secret, but it's been holding on to the film's actual title. Or could Russo be trying to mislead fans again?

"It's interesting because photos always leak, and there's lots of conjecture about what those photos mean", Russo added.

Avengers: Infinity War will hit theaters on May 4, 2018.

"Certainly, there is a five minute sequence in Civil War around a piece of technology that was laid in for a very specific reason. So if you go back and look at that film, you may get a hint as to a direction". While talking about spoilers, the directors were asked whether they filmed anything extra just to keep paparazzis and set lurkers off the trail, to which Anthony candidly answered: "We're too exhausted to shoot anything that's not going in the movie." .
