Kendrick Lamar Eyeing New Publishing Deal

Kendrick Lamar, who is up for seven Grammy Awards later this month, is in talks about a new publishing deal and his rights could command well over $20 million, sources tell Billboard. Elton and Miley will team for one of Elton's classic hits, in honor of the fact that two days after the Grammys, Elton will be saluted at an all-star Grammy tribute concert. Previously announced performers include Alessia Cara, Cardi B, Childish Gambino, Daddy Yankee, Luis Fonsi, Kesha, Khalid, Lady Gaga, Little Big Town, Logic, Patti LuPone, Bruno Mars, Pink, Ben Platt, and SZA.

Lamar's DAMN., which is up for album of the year at the January 28 Grammy Awards, was the Top Billboard 200 Album of 2017.

Hosted by James Corden, the Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from New York's Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT.
