Alexis Sanchez is not certain to start against Bournemouth, as his relationship with the Arsenal squad and staff has deteriorated against the backdrop of his expected move this month to Manchester City or Manchester United.

Alexis Sanchez seems ready to leave Arsenal and join Manchester in the coming days.

The 29-year-old Chilean will be entering his potential new club who lead the Premier League by 15 points over his other suitors United. United boss Jose Mourinho - as of recent - has been plotting to intercept the Sanchez move, as the issue of whether he signs in January or in the summer is yet to be determined.

And, although Wenger gave no clues as to where Sanchez will end up, he believes movement on the matter will come soon after he left the attacker at home for Arsenal's trip to Bournemouth on Sunday.

"I would let Sanchez go to Man United and get Mkhitaryan as part of the deal", declared Sky Sports pundit Merson. 5, Mourinho has harboured long-term doubts over Mkhitaryan's ability to influence big games and the United manager had been prepared to use the Armenian to tempt Arsenal last summer.

"I look at Arsenal without Sanchez and Ozil and I'd ask what name would fans get on their shirts if those two go?"

"If Manchester United bought Sanchez it would be a major-major signing", he said.

"The only word I can say is he is a phenomenal player, apart from that Arsenal player and I feel I shouldn't say much more than this".

Mkhitaryan has since returned to the fold, but United are aware of Wenger's admiration of the attacking midfielder and his involvement in the Sanchez pursuit could hold the key to United beating City to the forward.
