In a longer video, which was streamed live on Periscope, Robin Bell's projection shared some longer messages including "The president distracts us from politics that are harming us" and "This is not normal".

According to the Washington Post, he had focused his projector onto the building for about 40 minutes and was interviewed afterwards.

Another clip shows the same word over the entrance along with an arrow pointing to the door.

The pictures appear on the Twitter feed of Robin Bell, who has previously projected wording critical of the United States president onto the hotel.

The alleged expletive emerged out of a Thursday meeting between Trump and legislators.

The president, in a discussion last week on immigration policy, reportedly remarked "Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?" referring to individuals from Haiti, El Salvador and multiple African nations.

Trump on Friday tweeted a convoluted denial about the comments, which were reported by The Washington Post and The New York Times.

Trump asked why the U.S. should accept immigrants from Haiti and "shithole countries" in Africa, rather than places like Norway.

Trump then "said things which were hate-filled, vile and racist", Durbin said, adding that "sh-thole" was "the exact word used by the president, not just once but repeatedly".
