"I just heard about it".

Obviously, Eliza is very fearless for speaking up. And calling for a reckoning now. I think this has been endemic throughout human systems, not just Hollywood. And I'm glad Eliza did that. "It's just heartbreaking that it happened to her".

"I know the other party, not well, he hasn't worked for me since then, but the fact that this was happening under our noses, and we didn't know about it", he said. That they feel safe and that nyone who might be a predator or an abuser knows that mechanism is there and that it's encouraged. It's kind of one of the things we do and do well. "This is not a reckoning for Hollywood, it's not just a reckoning for America, it's a reckoning for the human race".

"I am grateful to the women and men who have gone before me in recent months".

A lot of it has to come from some kind of lack of empathy. I think the psychological consequences have to be understood.

Clearly Cameron felt troubled on a personal level by Eliza's testimony, despite the hope that things are set to change in all industries. "All I can say is nothing sexually. nothing inappropriate ever happened", he told the magazine. "Now, especially when I have daughters, there really is no mercy".

Eliza Dushku, star of TV's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Angel" and "Tru Calling", came forward on Saturday to recount incidents of sexual abuse that she said occurred while she was working on one of her earliest roles as Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter in the film "True Lies" in 1994.

Rasmussen responded to a comment critical of her parenting on Eliza's original post, writing, "I was afraid of Joel Kramer, too".

According to Dushku "He spoke these words: "'You're not going to sleep on me now sweetie, stop pretending you're sleeping", as he rubbed harder and faster against my catatonic body, '" and then suggested they keep the encounter quiet.

She also claimed he pulled her into his lap during a taxi ride afterwards where he "grew aroused again". Dushku was coincidentally injured in stunt overseen by Kramer the same day as the confrontation, which she implies was purposefully botched by the stuntman. Dushku said she suffered broken ribs and had to spend the night in the hospital.

Kramer was responsible for her safety during the filming of the movie "that at the time broke new ground for action films".

"On a daily basis he rigged wires and harnesses on my 12-year-old body". "My life was literally in his hands: he hung me in the open air, from a tower crane, atop an office tower, 25+ stories high. Whereas he was supposed to be my protector, he was my abuser".

Dushku said that she's coming forward with her story years later thanks to the victims who have spoken out amid the accusations of sexual misconduct that have rocked Hollywood.

Kramer has denied the actress' allegations. Kramer tells the Wrap that Duskhu's claims are "absolute lies" that "could ruin my career".

As Deadline Hollywood reported, Dushku's mother, Judith Ann Rasmussen, and her legal guardian on the set of "True Lies", Sue Booth-Forbes, have both independently corroborated her claims.
