There is a word in the market that LG's home country rival, Samsung, will bring the same screen-is-to-body ratio in the "Galaxy S9" as it was in the Galaxy S8 as the latter may have the same design. As a result, we've seen a number of more compact handsets that still have nice big displays.

The year has just begun and we have been coming across a fair share of leaks and rumors revealing vital details of the upcoming smartphones. Instead of sticking to a schedule, they'll be releasing phones as they see fit.

A cellular plan comparison site called TigerMobiles has managed to get its hands on what could be our first look at the new LG G7's design. Naturally, none of this has been confirmed by LG, but we're now seeing renders of the supposed device start to the hit the web. While the company has yet to announce the new branding, a leak is purporting to show a render of LG's successor to the G6. This suggests TigerMobiles isn't the original source of the LG G7 render, however the site didn't nae any other source, and even added its own watermark on the image.

Whether this is actually LG's upcoming smartphone remains to be seen. It is hard to decipher the screen size of the handset based on the render.

The image, which was published on Friday, shows an exceedingly thin bezel at the top where the earpiece and front-facing camera is located.

In fact, the smartphone's design is reminiscent of the iPhone X, which, save for the "notch" where the earpiece and front-facing camera live, is all screen.

LG is expected to unveil the G7 sometime in March, but we'll likely see plenty of leaks before then.
