PWInsider reports that Paige was told at this past Monday's RAW that she will not be able to return to the ring.

This could cap off a rollercoaster career for Paige in WWE, which has involved championship wins, drug suspensions, surgeries, returns and controversies aplenty.

Paige is just 25, so she has plenty left to accomplish in all walks of life, even if it isn't in a wrestling ring in the WWE. Thanks to her parents also being wrestlers, Paige started wrestling herself at the tender age of 13.

The early belief was it was just a mild concussion, leading to her losing feeling in her extremities and have the match cancelled. The referee called for the bell when she wouldn't get back up.

Paige has had an extremely turbulent year as she was suspended in August 2016 after failing the company's wellness policy. This is quite sad because this year's PPV is the first time that the women are getting their own Royal Rumble match.

Reports suggest her injuries are as bad as those suffered by WWE Hall of Famer Edge who had to immediately retire after a series of neck surgeries. She joined WWE's developmental program in 2011 and graduated to the main card in April 2014, before becoming the youngest Diva champion in WWE history. She has had a role on Total Divas in the past as well. One of the characters in the film is based on Paige.

The importance of her connection to the film alone should allow Paige to continue to be showcased in some fashion until the film hits theaters.

As noted, WWE star Paige, who recently returned to WWE TV to lead the Absolution group on Raw, suffered an injury at the hands of Sasha Banks at a December 28th, 2017 WWE Raw live event.
