Sarah Paulson, Jeffrey Wright and Aneurin Barnard are among those on the call sheet for the movie, which will begin shooting later in January.

Jeffrey Wright is in negotiations to play Hobie in in Warner Bros. and Amazon Studios' movie adaptation of "The Goldfinch". Warner Bros. had no comment on the casting.

Tartt's source material follows Theodore "Theo" Decker, who survives a terrorist bombing at an art museum, an attack that ultimately kills his mother. As Theo makes his way out of the rubble, he encounters an eccentric old man named Welton "Welty" Blackwell, who delivers to him an enigmatic message, gifts him a ring, and points to a Dutch Golden Age painting, Carel Fabritius's The Goldfinch, which Theo takes with him as he escapes, unaware of how those moments will dramatically influence the rest of his life.

In the book, Hobie is Welty Blackwell's partner, who is Pippa's legal guardian.

In addition, THR reports that Luke Wilson (Roadies) has joined the cast of the film as Theo's alcoholic actor father.

The movie will be adapted from the novel "The Goldfinch", which is authored by Donna Tartt. Alone and rudderless in NY, he is taken in by the family of a wealthy friend.

As an adult, Theo moves silkily between the drawing rooms of the rich and the dusty labyrinth of an antiques store where he works.

Wright's performance as Bernard in Westworld earned him an Emmy Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role. Are you interested in the film?
