Jaguars say they're not bothered by Steelers talking about Patriots

What happened: The Steelers, who'd been 4-6 at one point during the regular season, barely edged into the playoffs that season.

If the Jaguars win, the Pittsburgh Zoo will contribute to the Jacksonville Zoo's Rupununi Wildlife Research Unit and the zoo staff will be treated to, of course, Primanti Brothers sandwiches. Mularkey caught three passes for 40 yards in the upset, including a reception on the game's first play.

The two teams have met just once in the playoffs with the Jaguars beating the Steelers 31-29 at Heinz Field on January 5, 2008. And despite all those weapons, remember they only finished eighth in points scored- and I don't get that because that's not living up to what you have.

Jacksonville will be looking to accomplish that same feat Sunday afternoon, since they already beat Pittsburgh at Heinz Field, 30-9, back in week five.

"You get paid to play the regular season; this is for free". We play the cards we're dealt.

He managed just 20 yards on six carries before leaving in the second quarter of a 36-17 loss to New England and spent the rest of the game watching from the sideline, helpless amid the blowing snow.

PREDICTION: If Roethlisberger throws five interceptions against the Jags again, he just might rekindle talk of retirement.

Although Roethlisberger has played better, he should still be wary of a dominant Jacksonville defense.

-When the Chicago Bears hired former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy earlier this week, they made it clear that the offense deserved more of the blame for their 5-11 season than did the defense.

Nearly no one is giving the Jaguars a chance Sunday afternoon, even though the Jags are top-two in total defense (286.1), pass defense (169.9), scoring defense (16.8), takeaways (33), interceptions (21), and sacks (55). Hogan attempted to return for the December 11 game at Miami but caught one pass and was visibly limited.

The Jaguars' defense is ranked in the top two during the regular season in scoring defense, total defense, takeaways and sacks.

Jaguars players said they weren't bothered by the slight.

This was always part of Le'Veon Bell's business plan, the one that the Pittsburgh Steelers running back put together over the summer when he chose to skip training camp while waiting to sign his franchise tag tender.

With Brown likely limited by his injury, establishing the run will be key for the Steelers Sunday. Bell has played in two full playoff games in his career, running for 167 and 170 yards in those contests.

The biggest weak point of either team is Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles. Pittsburgh playing in 61st playoff game, tied with Dallas for most in National Football League history.

Against San Francisco and Tennessee, Bortles threw a combined two touchdowns and five interceptions.

Early in the game, Jacksonville showed a lot of tight man and off-man looks, with a single high safety. Bortles' passer ratings in the three games were 119.8, 123.7 and 143.8. Even the last time out against the Steelers, Bortles only had 95 yards passing, nine yards rushing and threw an interception. If he can't, that'll be the final item on his résumé, and Tom Coughlin will spend the next several months deciding whether to bring him back in 2018 or find another starting quarterback.

The ROAR of the Jaguars cheerleaders and Jaxson de Ville were also at the pep rally to pump up the crowd ahead of Sunday's AFC Divisional Round matchup.
