McMahon spent 13 years on the coaching staff at Eastern Illinois, where he spent five years coaching wide receivers and eight years coaching special teams and tight ends.

National Football League veteran Greg McMahon was named special teams coordinator for the Tigers, the school announced on Friday.

"This is a job I worked my entire career for", Ensminger said.

The biggest talking point surrounding the LSU football program in recent weeks hasn't had to do with any game or opponent, but rather the uncertainty at the Tigers' offensive coordinator position. It will be my offense, my direction, my terminology. I'm the one guy who knows the players - the receivers, the quarterbacks, the offensive linemen.

LSU's offense has revolved around the run for most of the past 10 seasons. The Tigers have averaged more than 205 yards per game passing once in that span. Myles Brennan played sparingly as a true freshman. "We did that with Steve Ensminger at the helm, and we're going to do it again". We have depth at receiver. "We have good running backs, but none are proven". Lowell Narcisse and Justin McMillan are the other scholarship quarterbacks besides Brennan on the roster.

"Steve Ensminger is a LSU Tiger through and through", Orgeron said. "He'll develop championship quarterbacks for a championship team. will put the players in space and put the ball in their hands like he did" in 2016.

"We have one of the best pure passers in Myles Brennan and we have two dual-threat quarterbacks", Orgeron added.

According to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate, Ed Orgeron has found a replacement offensive coordinator at LSU.
