Dark Souls Remastered For Xbox One, PS4, And PC Announced

Following some quite frankly overwhelming and confusing reactions on the internet, we've finally received confirmation through Nintendo's Mini Direct that Dark Souls would be coming to the Nintendo Switch in the form of Dark Souls Remastered. Bandai Namco did not say what the regular Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions' performance would be like, but did reveal that the Nintendo Switch version will be running on 1080p resolution at 30fps while docked.

If you were envious of Europe's Dark Souls trilogy vinyl set, you might explode when you see what's on the horizon in Japan.

The box set, of course, contains all three games in the series: Dark Souls: Remastered, Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, Dark Souls III: Fire Fades Edition. In any case, Dark Souls: Remastered will land on Xbox One, PS4, and PC the same day it launches on the Switch: May 25, 2018.

The item that you'll notice at first glance is the pair of bookends featuring the cover art knight from the game.

In order to reach a more broad audience and re-release one of its most beloved franchises, Bandai Namco is bringing a remastered port of the original Dark Souls games across a slew of platforms. As of yet this has not been announced for other regions.

FromSoftware's original Dark Souls is getting a remaster later this year, letting everyone practice their rolling and get used to the unforgiving combat in high definition. These people have been calling out for a remaster of the game, especially considering that the original version had a number of glaring technical faults.
