Cricketers are ready for the IPL 2018 Player Auction

The full list has already been sent out to the eight franchises.

Among the 1122 players, 281 are capped players while 838 are uncappped, including 778 uncapped Indian players.

Indian stars Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, off spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Harbhajan Singh, Ajinkya Rahane, mystery spinner Kuldeep Yadav and openers K.L. Rahul and Murali Vijay will be on top of every team's wishlist. Two years ago, Root skipped the IPL auction because he wanted to establish himself as a premier Test batsman.

The major percentage of overseas players belong to the Australians.

About 282 overseas - 58 from Australia, 57 from South Africa, 39 each from Sri Lanka and West Indies, 30 from New Zealand, and 26 from England have registered for the auction.

Mitchell Starc, who ended his association with the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of last IPL, too has entered the auction that also includes Chris Gayle, Ben Stokes, Chris Lynn, Eoin Morgan, Pat Cummins, Dwayne Bravo, Carlos Brathwaite, Evin Lewis and Jason Holder.

Hashim Amla, who hit two centuries for Kings XI Punjab last season will be eyeing a lucrative deal along with compatriots Faf du Plessis, Quinton de Kock, David Miller and speedsters Morne Morkel and Kagiso Rabada.

The in-form Glenn Maxwell and Shane Watson, who was mulling calling time on his IPL career previous year, too have entered the race with Mitchell Johnson, who has retired from worldwide cricket but continues to play in the Big Bash League.

Kane Williamson, Colin Munro and Tom Latham from New Zealand will add the Kiwi charm. Also, from Bangladesh, there are 8 players while 13 and 7 is the number from Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.
