They later confirmed it was Ms Lionnet, of Wandsworth, who was originally from Troyes in north east France.

A designer who used to date the founder of Boyzone has admitted perverting the course of justice by attempting to dispose of her nanny's body by burning it.

Appearing at the Old Bailey, Sabrina Kouider, 34, and her partner Ouissem Medouni, 40, pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice, but deny murdering the victim.

In September, her burnt remains were discovered in the garden of a house in south London after local residents complained of "bad smelling" smoke coming from the backyard of the £1m home in Pulborough Road, SW18.

Police were initially unable to identify the body due to its condition. She was helped to follow the hearing by a French interpreter.

Medouni, who was in a burgundy sweatshirt, paused for a short time before entering his guilty plea.

The defendants face a five-week trial starting on March 19 next year.
