Beloved Massachusetts woman's death blamed on the flu

A MA mom of two died within 48 hours of getting diagnosed with the flu, according to her family.

Doctors diagnosed her with influenza.

After she was admitted, Ching's family said complications from the flu caused her health to rapidly decline.

The mom, who was from Needham, died on January 5.

Ching, 51, was remembered as a devoted mother of two young boys and a constant fixture at Ray's New Garden restaurant in Needham, where she had worked for decades. "Please keep Jenny and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this hard time".

Her wake on Wednesday is expected to draw hundreds of people.

Tom Keating, a veteran, posted, "Such an outpouring of support for the Jenny Ching family tonight". Our VFW Post members each presented a white rose to Jenny's casket, saluted and then visited with her husband and Dennis and David, her sons.

"Waited out in the cold for 45 mins, been inside for another 45 mins and still only halfway thru the line".

"The community has been unbelievable", Ching said.
