Are Crystal Palace closing in on a Sakho, Sakho, Sako starting XI?

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson is keeping "quiet" on talks regarding a move for Diafra Sakho from West Ham United. Sakho is expected to cost around £10million although the fee may increase with add-ons.

If he manages to sell Sakho for the reported fee of £10 million, he will be in a strong position to bring in some of his key targets.

Whilst the 28-year-old has been a reliable servant to West Ham, the aforementioned figure would represent fantastic business for the club, and would allow David Moyes to strengthen in other areas of his squad.

He would spend transfer deadline day at the Chelmsford races after being denied an exit.

Russian Federation captain Fyodor Smolov, though, is reportedly on the team's transfer list.

Palace, meanwhile, are in desperate need of a boost as it relates to players coming in.

The Hammers squad is incredibly imbalanced, and the addition of a central midfielder and centre-back will be Moyes' priority this month.

However, sources close to the deal now suggest not everybody at Palace is convinced they should be trying to sign Sakho.
