Like the rest of his Chicago Bulls teammates, Kris Dunn couldn't find an offensive rhythm Wednesday, at least for long stretches. We didn't care about the losses we had early, because we understood we could've won those games.

Dunn scored 17 points and hit a pair of free throws with 7.8 seconds remaining, and the Bulls rallied to beat the New York Knicks 92-87 on Wednesday.

Chicago trailed by as many as 15 in the first half, but shut down NY down the stretch of its ninth win in 11 games.

The Knicks scored only three points in the final 5½ minutes. The New York Knicks are allowing 36.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 44.2 rebounds per game. Justin Holiday and Robin Lopez had 11 points apiece.

"We've done a really good job with our composure, " Hoiberg said.

The New York Knicks are preparing to embark on a road trip that will essentially last until the All-Star Break.

Porzingis, guarded mostly by Markkanen, was shut out after he made a jumper with 6:58 left.

"We have a lot of guys", Hornacek said. "If we're able to run without restrictions, we'll see how that goes and move forward". Since then, they have gone through an incredible turnaround. He sank both shots to give the Bulls a 90-87 lead.

After a timeout, Enes Kanter's 3-point attempt missed badly and bounced out of bounds.

The Bulls posted a 104-102 victory in the first meeting between the teams on December 9 at the United Center, with Dunn hitting a pair of free throws with 2.9 seconds left. "Defensively, I thought we were locked in". The Knicks, who managed only 14 points in the fourth quarter, lost their third consecutive game.

A chance to get back in the win column comes tomorrow night at San Antonio for the Knicks. It will be his first opportunity to meet countryman Tony Parker. Hardaway, who has a "stress injury in the lower left leg", has missed 3 ½ weeks. Noah has been inactive for all but four games since he returned from a drug suspension in November. But don't expect the Unicorn to have two poor games against this Bulls defense.

Following a 3-20 start, the Bulls (12-22) have played their way to respectability by finding ways to win despite not performing their best. Only 18 players total have amassed that stat line in an National Basketball Association game.

"The important thing with the wins now is learning how to win close games", coach Fred Hoiberg said. "It didn't rattle him that he had a tough night in Boston".
