There are more leaks surrounding the Redmi Note 5, a phone that is supposed to be launched soon. Starting 12:00PM today on Amazon India, the two smartphones will be up for a flash sale.

To recall, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 4 - at the same time - i.e, in January past year.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is a highly-anticipated phone from Xiaomi's stable, considering how popular its predecessor, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, was.

As per pricing, the Redmi Y1 comes in two variants. As the company is riding high on the success of its recently-launched Redmi Y1 and Redmi 5 series, rumours about another major upgrade have fans on the edge of their seats. It is the Redmi Note 5.

Based on the information gathered from a series of most-recent leaks about the Redmi Note 5, here's what we know about the upcoming budget premium handset. Now the newly leaked report suggests that the company may follow the same for the upcoming Redmi Note 5 as well.

A couple of live images of the Redmi Note 5 have been spotted on the Chinese micro-blogging site - Weibo. Additional features like the dual-band WiFi, NFC, and Analogue FM Radio can also be expected on the smartphone.

It was a close round between the three phones, but we got to the final two easily - it had to be the Redmi Note 5 and the Canvas Infinity. With 18:9 aspect ratio, you will be able to read plenty of content because of the absence of bezels on the left and right-hand side. Moreover, the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 630 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM paired with 32GB and 64GB expandable internal storage variants.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has impressive specs under the hood - it will ship with a Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 octa-core 2.0GHz processor. Overall, the Redmi Note 5 is a much-improved version of the Redmi Note 4, be it in terms of display, design, camera, or even the hardware. Redmi Note 4 had single 13-megapixel camera at the back.

Going in-depth of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5's dual camera, we are likely to see the same dual 12 MP camera setup like the one found on the Xiaomi Mi A1 (the first Android One powered Xiaomi smartphone) with the standard set of features like X2 optical zoom, portrait mode and 4K video recording capability. As per reports, the front-facing camera will have same camera capacity with a 5MP sensor. It is likely that the Redmi Note 5 will launch with latest MIUI 9 atop the Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The device is also expected to support dual-SIM in hybrid SIM tray that will double as microSD card expansion.
