On the morning after US President Donald Trump had declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel, a Muslim wrapped in a Palestinian flag arrived at the Israeli-owned Carmel kosher restaurant in Amsterdam and smashed its window, Israeli media reported.

Shocking video shows the moment a man armed with wood destroys the outside of the kosher venue in Willemspark. He broke the glass of the door, entered the restaurant and took the flag out and attempted to hit the police officer with it.

He was reportedly heard screaming "Allahu Akbar" - God is Great - as he trashed the affluent area wearing a black and white Keffiyeh scarf which has become a symbol of Palestine.

When the suspect comes out of the restaurant the two police officers are spraying him with pepper spray and throw him on the ground.

'We are disgusted, ' the Organization of Jewish Communities in The Netherlands said in a statement in response to the attack.

After the United States decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital sparked anger around the world, an Israeli restaurant owner in Holland, whose restaurant was vandalized, claimed that he still supports president Donald Trump.

The attack was 'an act of revenge, meant to instil fear, and is no less than an act of terror'. "Jerusalem will still be Israel's capital".
