Superhot: Mind Control Delete is a standalone expansion pack set in the Superhot universe and is designed as a rogue-like twist on the linear nature of the original game. To counter your own powers, the enemies you face will become more hard, as well, and they become "more desperate to stop you". While a full release hasn't been dated the game is already in early access on Steam for £9.29.

The current Early Access build features two playable characters, both of which have their own ability and gameplay modifiers, as well as new animations, AI systems, and Superhot's first foray into procedural generation.

The expansion looks to build on the foundations of the original Superhot by adding roguelike elements, such as random challenges and enemies, along with new playable characters.

The standalone expansion will have a full release in late 2018, but for the meantime, player feedback from the expansion's Early Access version will be used to improve the DLC and to find and fix various glitches and bugs. SUPERHOT Team is inviting players to put some thought and energy into shaping and balancing the game itself. "After over a year of work on Mind Control Delete, we're now ready to start this adventure together again".

One of this year's most interesting games has been Superhot, a skill-based first-person shooter where your actions can help rewind and fast-forward time, as you attempt to take out targets while avoiding getting wiped out yourself. Though Mind Control Delete will be free to current Superhot players eventually, you have to pay to play the Early Access build, though the fee isn't now known.
