LANGHORNE, Pa. (AP) - A beloved Santa with "naughty" tattooed on one arm and "nice" tattooed on the other has been asked to tone down his typically goofy poses at a suburban Philadelphia mall, leaving some fans miffed.

However, reports mall officials told Diethorne that this year he could only pose for "traditional" pictures without showing his tattoos.

"During this special time of year, we are focused on delivering a magical holiday experience", Cherry Hill Programs, the company that manages the Oxford Valley Mall Santas, wrote in a statement. "We remain dedicated to preserving the tradition and image of Santa with authentic holiday visits for every guest to our programs".

Diethorne declined to comment, but his daughter says he loves his job and he doesn't want this outcry to jeopardize it.

"I feel, personally, that if they are really his fans, they'll go see him anyway", Greene said.

Holiday outrage followed as longtime fans of Santa Scott took to social media to voice their displeasure. Cherry Hill Programs runs the mall's Santa photo operation.

Nagy, who brings along her pet snakes to pose with Santa Scott, also pointed out how a local photography studio would be hosting an "uncensored session" with Diethorne this week, for anyone interested in snapping a photo with Diethorn and his tats.

Scott Diethorne, a mall Santa in Pennsylvania, is only allowed to take "traditional" photos this year.
