Legendary actor Shashi Kapoor breathed his last on December 4, 2017. However, amidst all this something really unexpected happened.

On Monday's News at Ten, two video clips were played as presenter Huw Edwards announced the death of the 79-year-old Bollywood star, who died the same day at 5.20pm.

Shashi Kapoor's fans paid tribute to him at Alaknanda Ganga ghat by observing two-minute silence and praying to deity Ganga for solace to his soul and also remembered his connection with Haridwar.

Shashi Kapoor acted in over 150 films and his character left a stamp on the audience even if the film failed at the box office which speaks volumes of his acting skills. They too, later apologised. "Not our usual standards and I apologise for any upset".

But the error was criticised by some of the corporation's own stars on social media. It's poor when it would have taken them seconds to verify.

A number of prominent Bollywood celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta, Naseeruddin Shah, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Salim Khan along with Kapoor family members - Karan Kapoor, Kunal Kapoor (Shashi Kapoor's sons), Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor arrived at the scene with umbrellas and raincoats to say last good bye to the actor.

Meanwhile, another Indian news channel tagged Congress politician Shashi Tharoor instead of late actor Shashi Kapoor while breaking the news on their Twitter profile.

It's quite unfortunate when such things happen as everybody gets a topic to start trolling. Shashi Kapoor loved cricket more than he loved films and was often spotted at worldwide games featuring his nation.
