Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro start receiving Android Oreo update

The EMUI 8.0 update for the Huawei P10 and Honor V9 is now in Beta.

Huawei today announced that the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is now on sale in the Ireland.

The Huawei Mate 9 may have launched over a year ago but it still is a great phone from the top Chinese OEM.

Well, the OTA update for these Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro smartphones are not available to any owners yet, however you can still manually request for this update by using the Huawei Mobile Services app. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro harnesses the transformative power of AI to bring an exciting new era to smartphones using AI and machine learning to tailor itself to individuals' needs and behaviours. The phones will receive many AI powered features to your device including the improved Assistant and much more.

Less than two months after beginning the beta test of the Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro Oreo updates, Huawei has released the final update for both phones in China. The new device is packed with AI-powered photographic algorithms to help you take the ideal image.

The rollout has hit China and is soon expected to be released in other regions in the coming weeks.

Since the update will roll out over the air, you will receive a push notification on the display of your device.

Android Oreo also brings adaptive icons, over 60 new emojis, notification dots, Picture-In-Picture (PiP) mode for multitasking, consolidated settings menu, Google Play Protect for secure app environment, and a host of other features. Click on to the option and download the update.
