In case you're unfamiliar, Bridge Constructor is just what it sounds like - you build bridges that pass various challenges, blending physics manipulation with puzzle game elements.

Developed by ClockStone Software, in collaboration with Portal creator Valve, the game itself will be published by Headup Games for PC, Mac, Linux, and iOS in addition to Android. Titled Bridge Constructor Portal, the game features GLaDOS and various other trademarks from the series. No, it's not Portal 3, but Bridge Constructor is a fun game. What that seems to translate to in terms of gameplay is a familiar Bridge Constructor game peppered with references to the Portal titles.

Crossing rivers with suspension bridges or steel rebar is folksy and quaint, but those methods are too old fashioned for Aperture Science.

The title "blends the laws of structural engineering and technology", by using Aperture Laboratories tech all under the "watchful eye" of GLaDOS. If you're building a new PC and you're asking your friends for game recommendations, chances are high-to-certain that Portal and its sequel will be near or at the top of the everyone's list. The original Bridge Constructor first launched back in 2013, and it tasks players with, well, designing bridges. For console players, the game will arrive early next year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch. The game will jump to consoles sometime in 2018.
