Four militants, sympathiser involved in Kashmiri army jawan murder

Jammu and Kashmir Police have cracked the blind murder case of a Territorial Army jawan, who was found dead on November 25 a day after his abduction.

A militant involved in the recent killing of an Army soldier Irfan Dar has been arrested and a lookout notice has been issued for the three other militants identified by the police. His bullet-ridden body was recovered from Wuthmula village on November 25.

Dinkar said the investigation has revealed that four militants and the OGW of the militants Muzamil R/o Shirmal, Shopian had hatched the conspiracy to kill sepoy Dar.

Muzamil had visited Dar's village and taken him to an apple orchard in Wuthmula, 3 km from his home in Sazan.

Besides Paddar, the militants - identified as Bilal Mohammad, Touseef and one newly-recruited unidentified militant - were present at the spot.

The militants came out from the orchard and fired at Dar, killing him on the spot, he said.

"Police on the basis of evidence available could unearth the entire chain of conspiracy and finally nabbed accused Muzammil who is presently in custody.The look out for the other three militants is on and necessary legal proceedings are in progress to complete the investigation of the instant case", the police said.

Two Army men, including a Junior Commissioner Officer, and a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan were killed by militants, when they were off duty, in the Valley this year.
